Flagstone is a flat, thin slab of stone most often used for paving walkways, driveways and patios. Flagstone comes in random shapes and sizes and is typically 1" - 2½" thick.

Strip stone, or dry stack, is made from cutting blocks of natural stone into rectangular shapes. Strip stone has random heights and lengths and has a thickness of either 4" or 8". 4" strip stone is used as full bed veneer or lawn and garden edging. 8" strip stone is most often used for retaining walls.
